Colin Powell... Serena Williams... Jesse Owens... Why have so many Black Americans got Welsh Surnames? This brand new series, presented by Dr. Jerry Hunter, traces the connections between Wales and slavery in the USA between 1619 - 1865.
Series charting the architectural history of Welsh houses with presenter, Aled Samuel, and expert, Dr Greg Stevenson. This programme looks at communal homes and houses, beginning with a derelict building that was once home to the poor of Llanfyllin in the early 19th century. Also featured is an Alms House in the Vale of Clwyd and the Y Groes area of Rhiwbina, Cardiff, an early example of the Garden Village movement. Finally, the programme examines a modern example of social housing, a former council house in Llanegryn.

This year celebrates a century since Sydney Kurnow Vosper painted the congregation in Salem Chapel, Cefncymerau. But why has this painting become the most famous painting in Wales? And why, at one time, did it hang in more homes in Wales than any other painting?

In the run-up to this year's Royal Welsh Agricultural Show Dai Jones visits the host County for the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society this year, Clwyd. Dai visits a dozen local farmers as well as show president, Trebor Edwards at his farm in Betws Gwerfyl Goch, and mother and daughter, Eurgain and Eiddwen Jones in Llansannan.
The magical world of the opera awaits viewers as Rhodri Owen presents the Operatic Gala from the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. The star line-up includes three young singers, soprano Elin Manahan Thomas, tenor Alfie Boe and baritone David Kempster, who have already made their mark on the classical music scene.
